As a family support worker, Roisin offers practical help and emotional support to families who have lost loved ones through suicide.
Roisin’s background is in nursing, having trained as both a general and mental health nurse. She has worked in mental health services for over 30 years and has a particular interest in crisis management, coping with anxiety and mental health promotion. She has additional experience and specific training to support bereaved adults and children which is a vital asset to this role.
The focus of Roisin’s role is to provide support to suicide bereaved families and friends ideally within their own home initially, empowering, problems and risks, referring into adult counselling services, family therapy and children’s services as needed.Back
