Christmas Service 2026
PIPS Hope & Support Christmas Service of Remembrance, Hope & Healing
For Families and Friends Bereaved by Suicide
Every year since 2003, PIPS Hope & Support has welcomed families and friends bereaved by suicide to our Interdenominational Christmas Service of Remembrance, Hope & Healing.
The service offers a gentle, welcoming space to remember loved ones and find comfort through reflections, poetry, beautiful music and singing, a candlelight procession and our Memory Tree.
This year’s service will take place in the Church of the Assumption (Drumalane Chapel), Newry, on Sunday 13th December 2026 at 4.00pm.
Together, we will pause to reflect, honour the memory of those we love and support one another during what can be a particularly difficult time of year. Memorial candles will be lit and memorial cards placed on the Memory Tree.
Following the service, the Memory Tree will move to Newry Cathedral, where it will remain throughout the Christmas period until 6th January 2027. Anyone wishing to spend a quiet moment in remembrance or add their own cards or mementos is warmly welcome.
We hope this year’s service brings comfort, peace and a sense of connection to all who attend.
