Interdenominational Christmas Service
Each year since 2003, PIPS Hope & Support invites families and friends who have been bereaved by suicide to come together for our Interdenominational Christmas Service of Remembrance, Hope & Healing.
This special evening offers an opportunity to celebrate the lives of loved ones, find comfort in reflections, poems, beautiful music and song, and share in a candlelight procession and Memory Tree ceremony.
This year’s service will take place in St Mary’s Church of Ireland, Hill Street, Newry, on Sunday 14th December at 4:00pm.
The Christmas Service provides a space for personal reflection and remembrance, in the company of others who understand.
Candles will be kindled in memory of those we have lost, while personal messages will adorn the Memory Tree.
You are very welcome to bring something personal with you on the day to place on the Memory Tree, and Memory Cards and Candles will be available in the church.
Following the service, the Memory Tree will be placed in Newry Cathedral throughout the Christmas period, where anyone may visit or add memorabilia. The tree will remain in place until 6th January 2024.
I sincerely hope that this year’s Christmas Service brings comfort, peace, and a sense of togetherness to all who need it.
