Regine Candau

Position: Counsellor

Regine is a seasoned counsellor with over 13 years of experience in the field. She began her journey by volunteering and has since worked in various counselling and therapeutic settings in Northern Ireland, including Simon Community, Chrysalis Women’s Centre in Craigavon, Counselling All Nations Services (CANS) in Belfast, and PIPS Hope & Support.

From 2015 to June 2023, Regine served as a sessional bilingual counsellor at CANS, where she worked with Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities, often collaborating with interpreters. Since 2016, she has been dedicated to her work at PIPS Hope & Support.

Regine’s approach to counselling is Integrative, drawing from techniques such as CBT, EMDR, Person-Centered, and Psychodynamic skills to create personalized therapy that meets the unique needs of each client. Her training at CANS equipped her with specialized skills in counselling through interpreters and EMDR, a powerful therapeutic approach for individuals impacted by trauma.

Outside of her professional life, Regine finds joy in outdoor activities like running, walking, hiking, and traveling. She values quality time spent with friends and family just as much as her work in counselling.
