Stephen's 107 Mile Challenge for PIPS Hope and Support
On 27th March, Armagh man Stephen Campbell, was to run a total of 107 mile from Belfast to Dublin.
Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19, all had to be cancelled with the new date being rescheduled to 2021. Stephen had beforehand raised money for PIPS Hope and Support and the Southern Area Hospice, so still was looking at ways to be able to complete his challenge. Training equally as hard ever since, Stephen has been given the green light to run around Loughall Park, Armagh in continuous 1.3 mile loops.
Stephen will be taking on this challenge on Saturday 23rd May from 7:00am and will complete 1.3 mile loops continuously until he clocks up a massive 107 mile, equivalent to what would have been his Belfast to Dublin initiative.
Stephen said; "These charities are needed in our communities and they need fundraising more now than ever , the generosity I have been shown up to date has really been something else and I really cant thank everyone enough. If anyone wants to pop in on sat to show support or run a lap , your are more than welcome and I would be glad to see you, at the same time we have to stick to strict social distancing guidelines."
PIPS Hope and Support wish to thank Stephen for his efforts and we look forward to seeing his achievements. The generosity and support from Stephen and all who have donated to his initiative is greatly appreciated by PIPS Hope and Support and will support us in providing fundamental services to individuals and communities.
Good luck Stephen.
