A huge THANK YOU to the team at Armagh Orthodontic Clinic for their very large donation of £1,531.717 The team raised the funds by taking on and succeeding Slieve Donard in aid of our charity. Delighted to welcome Trustee, Malcolm Knox and his daughter Caoimh Knox to the PIPS Hope and Support office on Monday 14th February with a generous donation of £1,090.00. Well done the Year 8 girls and boys at St. John the Baptist's College, Portadown who recently undertook and completed our 'Building the Resilient Student'. 4 classes of year 8s over several days were able discuss the stresses and pressures of everyday life and in school, and developed new skills of coping strategies. Thank you for the school for the invite to deliver. We look forward to getting back to the school for more workshops.
Thank you to the committee at Markethill Festival for the invite to attend their presentation where PIPS Hope and Support received a very kind donation of £750.00. The committee over 2021 provided various community events and raised an amazing £8,000 that was distributed amongst several worthy charities. Have you lost someone to suicide? PIPS Hope and Support have organised an evening Monthly Bereavement Support Group for those bereaved by suicide in the Lurgan area. The group will meet on the first Thursday of every month, starting on Thursday 3rd March from 7:00 - 9:00 pm in Mount Zion House, Edward Street, Lurgan. Pleased to welcome Mary McMahon back to the PIPS Hope and Support office. Mary organised the annual Burren Christmas Mile and on completion raised over £1,200.00 with £620.00 donated to our charity and £600.00 to the Southern Area Hospice. The young people involved in the BCPP programme with PIPS Hope and Support, Hilltown Pharmacy and Hilltown Community Association over several weeks have been undertaking a number of different workshops.
